The Calm After the Storm

El Niño has really done a number on Pacifica.

Storms sent waves crashing well over the sea wall.

It was so bad that a section of the sea wall collapsed.

Now that it’s sunny again, we decided to head around the corner to see for ourselves.

The storm created enormous piles of sand where there once was flat beach.

The kids were very happy to finally get out of the house, as they’d been mostly staying indoors with all the rain.

Christmas

Today was Christmas. Without doubt, our kids’ favorite holiday.

The tree had lots of gifts under it.

Curiodyssey

I took the kids to Curiodyssey today to give mommy, who’s sick, a chance to get some needed rest.

They really enjoyed playing with the sand table.

Blaise’s 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Blaise’s 2nd birthday today.

He woke up to find a new bike, ready to go.

And later this evening he had a great time with his cake. Some of it even ended up in his tummy.

Halloween

We took the kids trick-or-treating tonight, just around our block.

However, because very few people were trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, people were especially generous and we ended up with more candy than we expected.
