We’ve been enjoying going ice skating lately.
The girls have both been getting better each time we go.

Cadence had some fun with her new sidewalk chalk today.
She drew Sailor Moon, her favorite anime character.
We celebrated Aurora’s 6th birthday today.
The girls were very excited about the pyrotechnics.
Blaise was pretty sleepy.
It was really warm and sunny, so we went to the beach today.
Blaise played in the sand.
Aurora enjoyed staying warm, despite how cold the water is in Pacifica.
Cadence enjoyed surfing with Dad.
I took the girls on a hike up to Mori Point today, a bluff that overlooks the Pacifica Pier near our house.
The weather was a bit cold and windy, but with all the rain lately, it was just nice that it was dry.
The view of the coves from the bluff was amazing.
The girls packed some dim sum for a snack.
Custard buns are Aurora’s favorite.
They are getting pretty good at managing varied terrain.
But conveniently there’s a staircase on the main incline, making it an easy hike for all.
Today I helped the girls edit a TV show they shot while I was at work the other day. It’s their own take on Cutthroat Kitchen, a show we’ve been watching together a lot lately.
Blaise turned 1 today, and is already enjoying his new drum set.
Happy birthday Blaise!
I like Karate because it’s fun.
Some day I want to spar.
The weather has been so wonderful lately, and the wildflowers that the girls planted last year are growing like crazy. This inspired Cadence and Aurora to go outside and take photos.
These flowers were the first to bloom.
I love this photo, the light is really exciting.
Cadence is also getting quite good at framing, I’m really excited about her progress as a photographer.
Tonight on the way home I setup my camera to take very long exposures and handed it to Cadence. She began snapping photos through her window and ended up getting some pretty amazing shots.
Like this one taken near Orinda, CA as we passed by a police car.
She quickly learned that she could move the camera to paint with the lights, which she did while taking this photo of the Bay Bridge.
As we neared home, she proclaimed, “I need more colors of light!” while frustratingly observing that most of the lights within view were either head lights and tail lights.
